Het boek is opgebouwd als een innerlijke odyssee langs duistere landschappen van de psyche, mythische ontmoetingen, en symbolische belevingen van water, wind en aarde.

De teksten variëren van rauwe herinneringen aan het zeemansleven en confrontaties met dood en verlies, tot surrealistische vertellingen over goden, sjamanistische gidsen en absurde figuren als de Yakuza Sisters of Captain Iglo’s Brides. Steeds keert de vraag terug: wat betekent het om thuis te komen, wanneer je geen vaste grond meer onder je voeten hebt?

Visueel wordt dit versterkt door collages die zich stilistisch bewegen tussen middeleeuwse alchemie, het surrealisme en hedendaagse digitale kunst. Elk beeld fungeert als een drempel, een passage tussen werelden.
